Default Guild leader guide

I believe I saw a guild leader guide posted somewhere in here, but I can't find it. Please, don't tell me to use the search feature. Tried that and got four pages of unrelated posts.

Thanks

The guild leader isn't necessarily the most active player. On the contrary, he's probably the one 'researching' this game through active reading in guides and forums constantly...

[that's me]

I'm not sure if there is a straight up guide to be a leader but I can say this...

The leader is the one who knows how to take criticism and advise from the others as well as know when to put the foot down...

[got into a minor squabble with a guildmate saying heavy blow is better than hammer bash... I fixed him up ^_^]

I'm also leader of a casual guild so it's probably better to play like your guild mates and recruit people who play like you do. Casual vs. 24/7. I can't do 24/7 ;_;

Thanks for your reply. I am the leader of a guild of over 60 very active members. What I'm looking for was a post that had, among other things, assigning specific duties to individual officers. I'm looking to increase organization in the guild and to utilize my officers in a more meaningful way. They already do a lot to help the guild run. Just looking to make things more efficient.

Why not use their (your officers) strengths as your guide. If you know what they prefer then put them in charge of that. ie...you have one that likes to PVP more than anything, have him do schedules for training and combat. Same for GVG, mission/quest assistance, and for all the other parts of the game. How about your best warrior train other warriors on technique, monk teach monks so fourth and so on. Of course these are just ideas....As leader of the guild you should probably want to be the go between of the officers. Chain of command - members to officers to leader. You make final choice in any disputes, and do the replacing of officers when needed, also if an officer want to promote a member he should pass it by you with a reason for the promotion.

Ill will definitely be doing that when I create my own guild especialy this part:
Warriors teach warriors, and monks teach monks and so forth...

A great way is do missions with your guildies and some people picked up locally to join you. See how they work with you. Very important if you do this, you have to show organization, teamwork, and how well you get along together.

Many times a player will want to join up with you if he or she sees your guild members enjoy each other's company and they mesh well with them on a mission or quest.

So really, as long as your a fun group of people and continually try to include non-guildies in your adventures, you are sure to gain new members.

It will take time, be patient. The wait will be worth it trust me.

Lots of great replies, and I thank you all for your help. What I did come up with was asking the guild officers what they felt were their strong points and assigning duties accordingly. We do have a web site with an "officers only" forum which allows for great communications.

Thanks again
